Admission Requirements

Definitions
  • Boarding Cat: Any cat staying at BearHut Cat Hotel.
  • Kitten: A cat aged 12 months or younger at the time of check-in.
  • Senior Cat: A cat aged 10 to 11 years.
  • Geriatric Cat: A cat aged 12 years or older.
  • Guardian: The cat’s owner.
  • Hotel: Refers to BearHut Cat Hotel.

Admission Requirements

1. Vaccinations
  • All cats must be vaccinated against FPV, FCV, and FHV (core vaccines).
  • Guardians must provide:
    • Proof of booster given 14–365 days before check-in, or
    • Valid VacciCheck antibody titer results from the past year.
  • Cats unable to vaccinate for medical reasons require a vet’s note.
  • Kittens must be at least 10 weeks old and have had at least one core vaccine shot 14+ days before boarding.
2. Sterilisation
  • Cats must be sterilised if:
    • They are 8 months or older, or
    • Show signs of sexual maturity.
  • If recently sterilised, the cat must have recovered for at least 14 days or have a vet’s confirmation that it is fit for boarding.
3. Parasite Prevention
  • Cats must be protected against internal and external parasites for their entire stay.
  • Treatments such as Advocate, Broadline, Frontline, and Revolution are accepted.
  • If needed, a single dose can be purchased from us at SGD 18.
4. Feline Leukaemia (FeLV)
  • A negative FeLV test is required for access to shared play areas.
  • Cats will be assumed positive if:
    • No prior test is available,
    • Test results cannot be provided,
    • They have had unsupervised outdoor access or contact with unknown cats.
5. Boarding Admission Form
  • Must be submitted and Terms & Conditions agreed upon at least 24 hours before check-in.
6. Physical Check-In Exam
  • Upon check-in, staff will assess the cat for health, hygiene, and temperament.
  • Cats should be parasite-free, clean, healthy, and handleable.
  • Cats recently ill must provide a vet clearance.
